Dear Valued Customers,

We wish to inform you that we have recently received a notification regarding an upcoming power outage at our office premises. The scheduled power interruption will commence from 8:00 am and last until 4:00 pm (ICT timezone). We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the short notice; unfortunately, we were unable to provide an earlier notification due to unforeseen circumstances.

Please be advised that this power outage is a planned event, and there is a possibility that it may not affect our operations if there is an adequate power supply available.

Reason:
The current situation is attributed to the excessive strain on the national power grid in Vietnam, caused by an unprecedented heatwave, leading to a rapid decline in water levels at hydroelectric reservoirs. The surge in electricity consumption, primarily driven by the increased usage of air conditioning systems during the hot weather, has resulted in the power grid becoming overloaded.

Contingency Plan:
In order to minimize the impact of the power outage, we have established alternative arrangements:

Our editors will seamlessly transition to remote work from their respective homes.
Alternatively, our editors may relocate to an alternative working location.
Regrettably, it is important to acknowledge that in the present circumstances, power outages may occur unpredictably, with or without prior notice.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and empathy towards our situation, as we have proactively implemented risk management strategies to mitigate any potential disruption. Our utmost priority remains in promptly updating you on the progress and developments concerning this matter.
